The STILTS Project: Taking Science Learning Up a Notch
Are you a 6th-12th grade Science or Language Arts teacher interested in…
- strengthening inquiry-based teaching and learning in science?
- improving teaching and learning of argumentation in science?
- earning PD credits to advance or meet licensure requirements?
- technology-enhanced PD in a virtual environment from the comfort of your own home?
- collaborative professional development for content integration, grade level articulation, and/or student achievement gains?
- Implementing integrated CCSS and NGSS core concepts and practices in your classes?

Teachers who are selected to participate will receive a $900 stipend upon completion of units.
Participants commit to 60 hours of professional development (PD) over one school year starting with a two-day summer institute Th-F 6/23-6/24 2016 at the Lane Education Service District. Additional PD will take place online in the immersive digital world of Second Life and conclude with a 1-day institute in June 2017.
Space is limited to 32 participants.
